Cambrian Wool 4-ply

This is a truly local wool, in colours inspired by the Welsh landscape. It comes in 50g balls, each of which contains 150m of yarn.

It’s labelled as a 4-ply, but because it blooms somewhat, we often use it as a DK – just check your tension first.

Cambrian Wool is spun from finest Welsh Mule: Bluefaced Leicester with character! The Welsh Mule comes about by crossing the local hill breeds with a Bluefaced Leicester ram, and this cross improves the wool. This yarn has a good definition whilst developing a nice halo.

Hand wash and don’t tumble dry!

The wool is produced on farms throughout the Cambrian Mountains Region, which encompasses much of Mid Wales – a stunningly beautiful and wild area
